Object to being included

If your business appears in Bellwether's reports and you would rather it didn't, tell us and we'll remove it. You don't have to give a reason.

What we'll do

We add you to a permanent suppression list. You stop appearing in every report generated from that moment — there's no cache to expire and no delay. We'll confirm by email within five working days, and usually much sooner.

What Bellwether does, briefly

We read operator licensing information published by the Offices of the Traffic Commissioner and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, and produce reports for businesses that supply the road transport sector — vehicle dealers, leasing companies, finance and insurance providers.

We hold no personal data about directors or transport managers: those names are discarded when we process the publications, and we never retrieve officer records from Companies House. Operators trading as sole traders or unincorporated partnerships are already excluded from everything we deliver.

Ask us to remove you

We use these details only to identify you on the suppression list and to confirm it's done. See our privacy notice.

Prefer email? Write to privacy@bellwetherintelligence.co.uk with your business name. That reaches the same place.

Your other rights

As well as objecting, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address above and we'll respond within one month.

Where information comes from a statutory public register, our ability to change it is limited — we can remove it from our processing, but not from the register itself. If that's the position we'll say so and point you to the publishing body.

If you're not satisfied

Tell us first — write to privacy@bellwetherintelligence.co.uk with "Complaint" in the subject. We'll acknowledge within five working days and give you a substantive response within one month, explaining what we've done and why.

If you remain unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. You do not need our permission and you do not have to come to us first:

We keep a record of every objection and complaint, what was done and when, so we can demonstrate how each one was handled.
